Meet Helena: My Musical & Academic Journey!

Posted on March 31, 2025May 15, 2025 by Helena Papapostolou

Hi! I’m Helena from Thessaloniki, Greece! My journey in music started at a young age with the piano. Over the years, I’ve dedicated my life to teaching and studying music in depth. I’ve studied and graduated from Conservatories with a Piano Soloist’s Diploma and Composition Diploma. I’ve also earned degrees in Big Band Conducting, School Choral Conducting, Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue and Orchestration.

Beyond music, I also graduated from the University of Macedonia’s Economics and Social Studies Department. This education gives me a broad understanding of education and society. It also shows how music connects with our daily lives.

I’ve attended numerous workshops and masterclasses in music education, music pedagogy, composition, conducting, music therapy and even children’s yoga! – all of which shape my approach to teaching. Through this blog, I’ll share my passion for music theory. I aim to help you appreciate music and explore its beauty and meaning in everyday life. Because music is truly everywhere.

If you’re looking to dive deeper, I’ve created a variety of piano music sheets. They are available for all levels on my Etsy shop. These include bundles of printable exercises. They correspond to each music theory chapter.

Additionally, if you’d like to support my work, feel free to check out my “Buy Me a Coffee“. You can buy a coffee to help me create more lessons, exercises, and posts every week.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or just want to chat about music. I’d love to hear from you and help you along your musical journey!
